If a passive opponent raises he is going to be barrelling the river a majority of the time because his range is so strong. So calling the turn raise without being prepared to call a river barrel is burning money. Yes he only min raised so your getting a good price to call but your hand rarely improves by the river and villians range is just too strong. He may raise TPTK somtimes but you have 2 of the aces which makes his range massively 2 pair+ weighted.

Nah it isnt a blank. All villian did was call pre and float the flop he has loads of overs in his range.
your posts are contradicting first you say his range is super strong but now he was floating with overs and caught a Q. so are we still ahead here then?

No they are not contradicting themselves at all. The turn card hits his range based on the action so far (a call pre flop and a call on the flop) he has a wide range and overcards are in his range. We dont expect a passive opponent to raise a turned pair so his range changes from being very wide to being very narrow.

ok that is a side issue though euEra. OP is more concerned with how he should respond to the minraise.
fish don't mr bluff pair plus draw hands / oesd hands on this turn hoping to rep a super strong range and hoping to get a folds from the pfr, they just call and hope to hit. they can't handread properly and aren't thinking about OP's range.
so when you get minraised on this turn it's from a value hand, and seeing as he is generally flatting and not minraising a queen on this turn it is from a value hand better than AA, so you can comfortably fold knowing it will be the correct play the vast majority of the time.

Exactly, i already posted the same outcome albeit worded diferrantly earlier in this thread. I was just simply saying that the Q is not neccessarily a blank, a 2 of diamonds for example is a blank
