While looking over my PT3 stats, I'm seeing that I'm playing from the SB nearly as much as the BTN. Also look over and notice that the majority of my losses (by far) come from this position. What might be going on here?? And moreover, even though I don't/wouldn't like to ask for 'target' stats, I imagine that this statistic should be pretty low, right?

Filter out HU play. Also you're supposed to lose money from the blinds.

Oh ok, that's a good point. Let me try that. It just alarmed me that my SB VPIP was almost the same as my BTN VPIP and I was worried that I was ruining my position.

You should lose less from SB than from the BB because you are not forced to put as much money in pre (that is somewhat compensated by the slightly better table position you have in the BB, but not worth half a BB or more I would think).

If you play as much from the SB as from BTN, then you may raise the SB too often or defend too much with it. Maybe you can compare how much you lose in BB vs SB battles to what you lose when defending against steal raises. In any case, teightening up a little from the SB and having VPIP more like CO or HJ can't be a bad idea for the time being.

I know that my blind play is really shaky. The way I look at it, is I analyze a persons tendency for a steal and then determine if I'm ahead of the lowest hand in the range. Ie. They may be raising any suited A or K8+ or any broadway. Therefore, if I'm sitting at QJs or K10s I'm inclined to call or raise.

I don't think I know anyone with a +ev SB stat. Ur definitely playing too many hands from the small blind. I was in the same situation and I tried only playing from the SB if I was going to 3b,otherwise I folded.seen a pretty significant change over the next 5k hands.

I open raise pretty much any two if BB's got a favourable fold to steal and 3bet stat. I don't push pre with anything other than AA-QQ but if someone plays back in BB, because many people try to resteal I would 4 bet push with JJ, TT, AK, AQ, maybe 99.

If you are in the sb with a sb that is half the size of the BB your baseline winrate is -50bb/100 before your cards are dealt. So if you are doing better than that you are winning from that position.
