Hi guys if i have say 30BI for 25NL and when i search a terrible player at my table like say an 80 10, and he is playing a table of 100NL as well. Is it considered ok to sit at that table.

No.
Not unless you are ok with playing a 7,5 BI bankroll strategy. :-)

No matter how bad a player is, or maybe especially if he's bad and you have any sort of til issues at all.
BR managment is to make sure you can withstand the inevitable swings off everything poker related, not because you might come over someone better than you.

So, when you have KK preflop and he calls your 4 and 6 bet preflop with Q2 and hits a Q72 flop, thats one BI down, and one step on the way to tilting off maybe another one....:-)

Just my 3 cents,

Frode

OK it makes total sense, i was sort of like well he is really bad it must be profitable, but then afterwards i sort of thought how risky it was and about variance and the fact i have only 7 BI and aswell he might cooler me and leave straight away and things like that. I luckily won 2BI off him, i wont be doing it again though for reasons stated in this thread.
What if it is one stake above your usual stake, i would have approx 15BI then, would be acceptable to play with only 15BI because you deem the gane as incredibally juicy.

I think it all comes down to how tilted you'd be if you lost a buyin at the higher game. If it puts you on tilt then don't do it.

in 6max, i dont know know, like shuttle, depends on how tilt happy you are.
if its HU, i mean the guy, that is a super fish, you stack him, and then he challenges you to play 100nl HU, its an insta YES, i mean, you have the chance to clear his entire bankroll (you obv take a risk if you are tilt prone) but i think im taking that deal every day of the year

If you can reload no problem be as aggressive as you like with shots at juicy tables

I can reload i have a good stable full time job. About tilt 4 years ago i was a total monkey shouting out loud and banging things its really embaressing that i could actually get like that. Now i tilt really quite rarely and its usualy mistake tilt. Maybe as i move up i might tilt a little more because the money is more but i know my BR is just BI and im quite de sensatised to money anyways.
Thanks for the advice everyone ive taken it all on board.

no i mean if money is not important to you and you can easilly redeposit, you have bigger BR for nl100 and not just 7BI

Usually chasing fish should be a +EV, but moving 2 levels up might not be the best idea. First of all, you will face better regs. Secondly, your game should be focused to stack the fish. That means playing looser than normally, which leads to a higher variance as a result. Otherwise sitting there and waiting for { AK, QQ+ } is a huge value waste.

And higher variance is the last thing you would like to see, while playing with 7.5 BI.
