Why should I NOT do the other? When would you do the OTHER?

it's kind of simple

what mistakes does calling induce? what mistakes does raising induce? which mistakes add up to more money for you?

I don't know xD

I mean I'd be worried that if I call down I don't hit my flush and raising gives me good equity against his calling range + I have fold equity so I'd say raising is superior in this case but I was kinda meh since there are not really worse hands in his range he'd call with. Overall I'd go with raising and I went but I'd like to know in spots like these when I am unsure upon what should I decide.

I mean I don't think I would induce that many mistakes, well he could get it in with draws thats true. By calling do I really induce much?

Raising doesn't fold out better, most of not all k's will go with it. The pro of raising is to get it in verse his dominated draws but I think calling and allowing him to barrel off is better in this situ. Waiting to raise the turn or play a river can be desirable as some hands such as diamonds might improve to a had he will semi bluff commit with.

calling he can bluff with AQ and worse, especially if good cards for you come

calling he can put his money in drawing dead

calling you get reads on how he plays future streets for later hands

raising you are just trying to avoid making decisions

when would you raise then? Only when I fold out better? You're correct I was deciding between calling and raising but I just did not know which was better and I decided to put the money in as it seemed easier.

I still dunno what is the key factor that decides what to do.

what's the difference between IP and OOP when we're all in? Why do we hear in coaching videos over and over again that calling 3bets OOP is bad?

ye he'd c/f turns with air my bad, there is no need to raise when we're getting good odds to call with the possibility of hitting and stacking him with 100% equity

I think you should just call, you have a lot of outs and your getting almost 2-1 on the turn. If you call villain might just shut down on the turn and give up the hand......Also does villain 3 bet light?

Thanks for sharing, wtfpwnage. Would a small 1x-1.5 raise here be a good option? You put the decision back on your opponent. If villian calls, hero may have earned a check on the turn. If villian raises, then shoving gets both of your stacks in the middle.

Calling is the safest option, no doubt. Terp does make some great points about calling but I don't necessarily think that raising is just to avoid decisions later.
