This was my first video watched and thought it did a good job of explaining some basics. What I really liked was the nods to Holdem Manager, Pokerstove & 2p2, all of which I have recently discovered in my quest to improve my game. Having now arrived at DC I am sure I have chosen the right training site.

I know this video is geared towards online play. However, with these poker tracking softwares, how are you gonna come up with this information in a live game? Are there videos for beginners specifically geared for live play? I would just feel more comfortable having the knowledge to tap into and apply the step by step ways to play instead of relying on a software that does all the thinking for me. It just seems like cheating. I don't really mean "cheating", and I don't mean cheating other players as much as I mean cheating myself out of knowing the methods of doing things properly. If I'm asked a question, I want to be able to answer it from my own knowledge, and not have to say, "Well, I can't answer that because I'm not plugged into my poker tracking software."

Ok, again. With Poker Stove. I want to be able to know how to make these calculations in a live game. I don't want to depend on some poker software so I can be a mindless bafoon in a live game. Again, I know this is geared towards online play. I also understand that these are wonderful tools to help us play the game properly. However, my goals are not for online. I want to play live. So if any of you have some ideas or feedback on where beginner videos are, please send me a link. Thank you.

I think Cardrunners is your only real choice if you want vids covering live strategy, but even their content is pretty limited. Not to mention Cardrunners (unlike DC) has a huge signup fee, so if you decide the videos aren't worthwhile enough, you're going to be out a good chunk of change. Make the switch at your own discretion...
