This is over a sample of 64K hands, played at 10NL. Could it be only variance?

I'm almost positive that nobody makes money when they call 3bets, it's just a matter of losing less than if you were to flat out fold to the 3bet. Find out how much money you're losing per hand when you fold to 3bets and then take different ranges you may defend with like 88+, AJs+, AQo+, KQs and compare how much you lose per hand when defending that to the loss of flat out folding to the 3bet, you should aim to cut your folding losses in half when defending. So if you start adding more marginal hands to that range and they make it so that you're not making much more than if you were to fold then you should question having those hands in your defense range unless there is a trade off, like say you're losing slightly more when adding 98s+ to your defense range but not so much that cuts too much into the profit you gain from defending then it may be worth it to keep defending and get your fold to 3bet lower to get some ppl off your back.
Assuming that you raise 3bb, if you are winning more than -300bb/100 when calling a 3 bet, you are doing good.
Pretty clear explanations from you both, thank you!
