Hi

Villain is 43/5 with 2AF only 50 hands. has donkbet ~50% (10 smaples)

IPoker Network $4.00 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 1761110
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

UTG: $5.05
Hero (CO): $5.18
BTN: $5.28
SB: $5.00
BB: $12.69

Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero is CO with Q Heart T Heart
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.12, 2 folds, BB calls $0.08

Flop: ($0.26) 9 Diamond T Club 6 Heart (2 players)
BB bets $0.12, Hero calls $0.12

Otf I didnt really feel like I would get a lot of value from worse hands and even if I did I wasnt happy letting them put me in a position where I had to play for more bets on the first street. I wasnt confident raising for value and getting called by the worse hands and being confident folding to the 3b. Not enough info yet or am I nitty?

Turn: ($0.50) 2 Diamond (2 players)
BB bets $0.20, Hero raises to $0.60, BB calls $0.40

Turn I raise because the 2 is pretty blank but brings more draws and he also bets very small. I think I might be misunderstanding this bet from these type of fish (look maybe a bit passive because they have high Vpip/low pfr) Maybe this is really what most passive fish are doing with their very good hands because they are notoriously bad at getting decent value from the top parts of their range?

River: ($1.70) J Spade (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.85

Final Pot: $1.70

Otr my reasoning for value betting was that he has bet twice and called a raise so any pair that called will call a small river bet regardless of the overcard on the river. It would be a spot you would think, he could have 9x/Tx or some AQdd that might hero call, so we would never consider bluffing given his line and that in turn makes it a reasonable spot to bet 2nd pair 3rd kicker for thin value, since he only needs to call with worse 50% ott?

maybe when he bet then bet/call turn, betting the river is too thin, even though im pretty sure he can original donk a relatively wide range otf?

His FTcb is 4 out of 5 fwiw. How does this relate to his donk betting?

thanks

Villan is a fish. We need to find out what his donk means and having tp is a good time to.

Raise his donk and bet the other streets, we have tp good kicker and a backdoor FD/straight draw

Are you happy folding to flop 3b? Also are you barreling to shove river on this runout?

thanks

Yeah i would fold to a bet 3 bet on the flop, unless he's a maniac, I normally look for how aggressive villans are. If they are usually very passive then its an easy fold.

Even though I'm a value fiend I would probably check back the river to see what the flop donk means. Saying that with the player pool being huge we might never see him again, so shoving river is fine vs a fish
