BTN: $49.21
Hero (SB): $51.61
BB: $158.17
UTG: $99.00
CO: $50.75

Pre Flop: ($0.75) Hero is SB with Q Club K Club
UTG raises to $1.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $5.50, 1 fold, UTG calls $4

Flop: ($11.50) J Club 9 Heart Q Spade (2 players)
Hero bets $6, UTG raises to $14, Hero???

Villain is a 33/33 over 12 hands he just doubled up calling a 3bet with KTs as BTN vs a pretty tight SB (SB 13/10 over 1,4k hands but with spewy tendencies not sure if Villain was aware of that). the flop came T7x rb the tight player cbetted Villain raised and the tight player shoved with KQ high
no other info except that he called 2 out of 2 3bets.

i am not sure how good Villains play was but i tend to think that it would be -EV against a lot of player who are as tight as the SB of this hand.

but this board texture is different and also its bb vs utg not sure if it affects his opening or 3bet calling range. also not sure what he would do with draw+pair type hands. how would you play the hand?

how much equity should i have at least against Villains range to stack off here?

Calling a 3b on the button with KTs is not terrible.
I think 3betting an utg open oop with your hand is not great. I think we will be against a strong range and this board smashes a 3b calling range (especially from utg). I think b/f flop is fine.

If you jam and get called you are risking ~40 to win ~100 so you need 40% equity I believe.

i really like the way you played this hand given history described.. i think flop is a fold and goes with our plan versus this bad passive guy.. which is bet for value until we get raised

Your pre flop play makes sense but I don't know if we have a large enough sample to realize player tendencies and when he calls our 3bet I feel we are behind unless it's proven otherwise that his ranges don't change. I feel once he reraises you on flop you are in a tough spot to continue. I lean towards folding in this spot often as their are quite a good ammount of turns I won't like. I feel this is a board that villain is likely to reraise a lot as it coordinates with what we have seen so far. Did you feel villain that would reraise you on this flop before you cbet?

Villain is not that bad and definately not passive so far. Though i wouldnt raise that flop with tpgk.

I wouldnt 3bet utg after only 12 hands. now fold.
