Played a pretty bad super long session yesterday. Should have broke it up with more breaks. Anyhow, this guy had been pretty hard to read and sort of owned me. Given any other villain I play both hands 100 percent different (fold river) and don't shove tptk. But he was mixing up his limping, flatting raising alot and his image was def helped by the deck because he was playing somwhat spastic. My read started when he sat with $3 and immediately tripled up calling 3 way ai with 79 off. From there it was funny and entertaining to see what he showed up with so it was so nonstandard. Stats were along lines of 51/22/9/8 or something. But I def play bad against certain villains like this when I try to over adjust to them.

yes both are folds against standard micro players but this guy did exact same with bluffs, too bad it took me 1 or 2 hands after these to realize he actually had brakes sometimes when oop.

First hand -

Not sure how you call this a regular fold top pair with top kicker, the AI was probably overly aggressive though against an opponent this wild and no good read on. I don't think anyone thinks he has AA here, so I wouldn't beat yourself up.

Second hand - if you know villain has these kind of tendencies why are you playing here? So he limps and Q8s is probably just on the edge of the range we want to isolate limpers with from the CO, but then he 3bets us, I'd fold - might be exploitable in the short-term, but I assume we're trying to make money and move up anyway. We saw him limp AA and cold call it, so no need to get fancy.

Against a villain like this I want to play top hands to exploit his aggressiveness, especially since he's on the right of us. Note if this guy was sitting to our left, I'd leave the table - unless we were profitable, but against wild villains we're often not.

Edit: there's no shame btw in leaving a table, our ego wants to play against people like this to prove we can beat them, but our goal is to make money.

there is just about nothing worse in poker than running bad against an aggrofish. it's a high variance game that you'll win far more often than not, but when it's bad, it's BAD.

pretty unlucky really.

first one you got agro& all in with a decent hand & got coolered.

not sure how hand 2 is a (standard?) fold, agrofish often min 3b AA that could have done this ??

yea, funny that he put money in pot with air, bluffs, semi draws, nuts, and weak made hands in the same way. I finally have something to go to battle and he has be pegged a notch. Like sheif said, ot fun.

Hand 1: Bigger preflop (.60) and wp

Hand 2: Bigger preflop (.50 or so), call his min-re-raise, stack off (can consider raising flop or turn but probably no reason too).

You're play preflop is more than fine, it's mandatory to not fold these hands.

If you want help running better, I advise going to a different site lol, we can't help you with that here. From a strategy pov you did fine.

hahaha just funny that he could-would have played pocket 55-99 exact ame way here. so funny he shows up with what he does. felt beat q8s hand the way he potted, but did NOT expect to see AA hand one. And he actually tanked a bit so thought now way was i beat. lol..... my first 16 hour session (not smart) and results wise did better at 20 than 10. Lost another buy in to this clown and 2 to a guy shoving 100 percent of hands no matter action. the site is really really really really soft so biggest one day downswing at lowest 9 buy ins, ended up down 3 (over 200k hands plus) in two days on stars I had 15 bi swing down and up because game is so much more agro and i over adjusted super happy to get tt plus in given dynamics. poker--- love it for real!
