identifier - I was actually joking in the whack'em thread, but that actually looks like one of the times where you could fold a full house.
or at least just call the river raise. shoving is terrible whatever.

Is the eights full really a clear fold? I agree the shove is bad, but are we really folding to the river raise?
Think you would have to have a pretty good read to fold the river raise, he would have to be an absolute nit who never raised without the absolute nuts and never bluff raised

It would depend on how light villain value raises on the river. There are a lot of hands that villain could play this way that beats us, like KQ, KT, TT, AcJc, Jc9c and QQ. Lot's of players at 25nl will just call with hands as good as the nut flush.
I probably wouldn't fold in an actual game situation. I wouldn't 3 bet the river either. But against a lot of players at 25nl, a b/f on the river is probably the most +ev play.
I know 88 on this board is a strong hand in absolute strength, but in reality we have the 9th nuts.

Well, on a related note I think we need a "shudda quit thread".
here's my FR graph from the last couple of weeks (I'm teaching myself FR). http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/7/lolgraph2.png/
It contains two sessions where I knew I was tired, I knew I was playing my c game, yet I kept on playing anyway. They're 4500-5000 and 8000-8800. They're both terrible results wise. I need a post it note on my laptop or something to stop me doing it. Playing when I'm drunk is bad enough, but at least I sometimes spaz myself some profit rather than slowly bleed it away.
Yes, I need to sort out my mental game.
