Villain: 29/24/22.2 (VPIP/PFR/3-bet) only over 21 hands.....100% c-bet stat

Merge $10.00 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players - View hand 1569281
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

SB: $10.00
Hero (BB): $26.09
UTG: $10.20
MP: $9.89
CO: $10.55
BTN: $9.15

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with T Diamond T Heart
2 folds, CO raises to $0.30, 1 fold, SB calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.90) 9 Spade 3 Club 7 Club (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets $0.50, SB folds, Hero raises to $1.45, CO calls $0.95

Turn: ($3.80) 2 Spade (2 players)
Hero bets $1.90, CO calls $1.90

River: ($7.60) 9 Heart (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $4.00

Final Pot: $7.60

Preflop: I did not want to get 4-bet and have to fold, so I decided to just call and play a multiway pot

Flop: I decided to check/raise for thinish value. I felt like villain would bet all flush draws and pairs. and even AK AQ type hands

Turn: I kept with my thin value-betting of 1/2 pot

River: I felt like I had the best hand. I felt like I would not get called by a worse hand. I felt like villain might bluff some missed draws. I felt like villain would check behind JJ+. This bet seemed super polarized

I think the villan would not check behind his JJ-QQ type of hands, and we should include those into his betting range OTR.

As played I would probably fold to his bet on the river.

Pre-flop, I'd have 3bet.

I don't love the flop ch/r here. It seems like you are isolating yourself against hands that are beating you or have good equity against your hand. Maybe you get value against 9x, but you're going to be put in some tough spots OTT and OTR OOP with a medium strength hand.

Have we any reads on villan, eg does he bluff rivers with missed draws, anything on his value river bet sizes. Does he bet for thin value here with 55? Or auto bet when checked to?

If not then lets just call and get some. Actually now we have a read on you that you chk the river with an overpairSmile

If called, I was going to play pretty fit/fold on turn if flush card came otherwise I was going to value-bet. I knew if villain just called my raise villain has no sets and not very likely over-pairs as villain would more than likely ship. The raise is definitely a mix of thin-value/protection and probably high variance.

I felt that villain has 9x on the river or a bunch of missed draws. I think the only way I was folding was if villain shoved - as this would happen all the time with 9x (especially since he has such aggressive stats). I also though villain might be one that can somewhat hand read and see my check as an opportunity to possibly take the pot away with missed draws. I also know that it is extremely rare for a villain to bet large for very thin value on the river, and almost never turn hands with equity into bluffs.
