[Right] How does raising compare to just calling here? If we raise and barrel, we might be able to get him off some some ace-high or king-high hands. (I'd probably be a bit more inclined if I had some backdoor flush outs, but we do have overcards and a backdoor straight draw.)

[Left] I'd fold A2o here and tend not to raise even if it was just one limp to us. We've got decent equity, but it's just so difficult to play these offsuit aces out of position, especially when they've got terrible kickers. Most of the time, we're going to miss and be blindly firing into a couple of players who aren't folding. I'd have to know that BB was going to fold a lot and that the limper was going to play pretty straightforward postflop to consider raising here.

folding is much too weak. i'm confident we can play this spot fine. your comment ("most of the time...") applies to much of our range here, and to our opponents' ranges in this same spot, and doesn't mean we should pass up a profitable pf spot just because it puts us in difficult spots postflop sometimes.

What if we had 22/33 instead of A2o in the SB?

P.S., Nice work, as always, BTW. It's weird watching two tables at once...I'm used to seeing 35 hands of live poker per hour!

oh - I don't tend to raise anything there in that spot any more. I just call with my entire continuing range (which is anything I 3bet pf, in this spot) and then re-evaluate (raising fairly often) on the turn

Yep, exactly. At these stakes, BB isn't folding that often, so that's what makes me want to call more than raise hands with 2s through 4s/5s. I can get on board with calling A2o, especially if the players are pretty bad.

I'd have a hard time 3! the turn with your set in this game. If you 3! and Villain caps the turn, you've got to fold the river u/i and that'd be super gross.

You've coined the name for your next series: "Everybody Gets Frisky from Time to Time, I Guess" ("Getting Frisky," for short).

[Left] Too many bets went in with your 8Diamond 6Diamond. I'd rather call the turn and either fold or call the river; I think both are pretty close, but in real time, I'm just calling both streets and betting if checked to.
