If this is true, why are we betting the turn? A better course of action would be to check it down.



He is not gonna call our c-bet with worse, but he might call our delayed c-bet with worse.

Q: Are we really going to profitably check call any bets on any street against a nit?
A: Also if we check and he bets we could be folding the best hand.

Well i mean profitable in general against a nit not just in this specific hand. Ya he might take a stab w/ worse but that doesn't make it +EV to start playing a guessing game w/ a nit by check calling. I would much rather cbet and give up

You don't have to play a guessing game, you just call once and give up, i assume that he is not gonna barrel as a bluff, so we are gonna lose same amount of money when we are behind as if we c-bet but now we are gonna pick up a bet out of his air/weaker hands.

Even a nit is capable of 2 barreling when you c/c and check the turn. Even if he checks back the turn what do you do when you check the river and he bets < half pot?
