Nice video, pretty entertaining to watch, and def will improve non-showdown winnings.

This again shows how important board texture and perceived ranges are when deciding wether or not to cbet.

What are you using to hide your cards? This will be a good exercise to do at lower stakes to work on your hand reading and board texture.

First off, this was great. Really enjoyed it!

I would just to add one thing; If you're going to do any more of these, I would like to hear your thoughts on what kind of hands/ranges you would be playing against different opponents in different spots aswell.

I dunno, maybe that's pointless since that's not what the session is mostly about.

I'm glad you liked it Smile

Just to make sure I understand your question. Are you asking me, how I play poker when I can see my cards?

Hmm, a very simple example would be if let's say MP (TAG) raises it up in front of you. What kind of hands you would 3bet or just call with. Including

Okay, I did understand you correctly.

I would be willing to 3-bet him with any hand that has no or little value in a single raised pot and hands I can 3-bet for value. My final decision would depend on game flow.

The range of hands I'm calling with depends on how good a read I have on his post flop tendencies and on the game flow.

You can think of game flow as the picture you get when you combine of all recent actions known to the players at the table. Your image is part of that picture and so is the image of every player at the table.

I fully understand that this is likely not really the answer you were looking for (it was a looong way of saying... it depends). But fact of the matter is that that is the truth.

Fundamentally I suggest that people play a pretty standard TAG style a la 2+2 and adjust their ranges as they learn more about the players at the table. The adjustments should fit with the game plan; meaning that we optimize the potential equity and playability of our ranges.

Postflop the hard part is to find the spots where there is more value in manipulating our perceived range and playing villains range and the board.

If I claimed that I understand when to do what I would be claiming that I had solved poker. That is not even remotely the case. I started writing the book as an attempt to understand these adjustments and I have still not finished.

All that said I will think about what I can do.

I made a video-reply to this; it's hosted on the DC file store and talked about in my blog. I really feel like I got a ton out of trying this at small er than my regular stakes and urge others to make a short video of themselves trying the same.

this video blew my mind.

attention all DC NLHE employees:

please make more videos where you hide your holecards from yourself !

Improva, the reason i liked this video so much was that you spent all your time describing postflop strategy, and i think i need the most help with that.

this one is definitely a gem. thank you KRANTZ for putting it in the micro NLHE playlist.

also, Improva, i could watch a whole series of videos where you do this exact same thing, just 8 more times.
