How many streets can I get vs a solid tag? is two reasonable if we don't really have much history? Whats the best line for me to take vs his range here?

once he calls the flop I put him on 88-JJ. Does anyone think solid tag villains could ever have an A in their range here?

How should I proceed on an 8 turn? 9 turn? is it better to check turn, bet river small or bet turn?


what happens if I bet turn and get check-raised? if I bet less than hp I'll be getting almost 6:1 on his shove.

The flop is really dry and awesome for us. I would bet more on the flop something like $6 or 7 with the intention to get it in on the turn. You need to 2nd barrel the turn for value. Villains range is narrowed to sets (JJ,77,44), PP (88,99,TT), TPTK and overs (AA,KK,QQ). Assuming he is a good player, I dont see him calling pre wAA or KKs. I see a lot of TAGs floating with 88,99,TT or AJ here.

Ship it with KK.

If you're afraid of not getting called by worse, you should be 3-betting and barreling this guy like a monkey.

I felt sick after getting raised here. I was getting 6:1 but this guy had been so in-line the whole time, I thought he would almost never be bluffing here unless it was a misclick or his dog bit him and he jerked and pressed raise AI. Nor would he ever ever ever expect me to fold it.

Yes, if you are betting so small (<1/2 pot) it's to induce a shove imo. Stacks are too shallow to be bet/folding here.

You can never fold those odds with an OP, however standard you see your opponent.
You're probably losing the pot but he will turn up with QQ, AJ and even TT enough times to make the call play.

I think you're underestimating how often villain has QQ/AJ/KJs here.

You can't fold here. You're beat a bunch of the time, but he can have QQ, TT, 55, etc., here enough that a fold can't be seriously considered. If he has the goods, so be it. Anytime you're getting these kinds of odds to call if off with KK on an undercard board, don't feel sick or anything close to it.
