How many hands do you have on this villain? If he's 28/11 over a large sample, i'd be more than happy to fold the river and I think you played fine.

Went to showdown, aggression frequency, and aggression factor should be taken into consideration, but I think this is almost always a fold against this player type.

Well played imo.

I feel like a 28/11 wouldn't be value betting KQ or even AK with raise/bet/bet line. Any tag regular, i'd call this one down or raise on one of these streets.

i gotta say this looks like a set on the flop a lot.

the flat call IP PF, the slightly more than min raise on flop, and the value bets on turn and river. and he's put you on either AK or AA (exactly what you have), given you've called that min raise.

you played it fine.

13000 hands with a 14% raise cbet on flop.

I was thinking a min re raise would have been better on the flop and fold to any further action

@ themYth123 "I think i would never fold that river" Even with the villain being OOP?

The 8 turn cuts down the flopped set/2p hands he can have quite a lot. Assuming he never has KK, on the flop there are 3 combos of 77, 3 of 88 and 9 87s in his monster range. When the 8 hits the turn that is reduced to 3x77, 1x88 and 6x87.

However, what else can he have? He's not really taking this line with KQ (12 combos) I don't think, or with AK (6) very often at all. Busted 9T seems very unlikely (and equally, 56 hit, so that's effectively a wash).

We only need to be good 30% of the time to break even. It's clear that he has to be MUCH more likely to take this line with a monster (10 combos) than a Kx-type hand (12 combos of KQ, plus maybe some AK, KJ hands) or air to make this a fold. It's ugly, because of the odds we're getting, but i don;t think he c/r and then barrels turn and river with air often, so it really boils down to whether i believe he'll play like this with KQ/KJ
