I'm really struggling with overpairs at the moment; I don't feel like an overpair is good here, but by the same token I wouldn't be surprised if at showdown he turns up with KK. Villian was 26/12/2 over about 300 hands and had definitely been giving me a bit of trouble.

He'd also checkraised me a couple of times on the flop and not followed through on the turn, but this just feels like a set to me. Something worth noting probably is that I've only played about 20k hands lifetime, so I'm still relatively new at this

I'd get it in on the flop.

OP's you beat, flush + overs (particularly those including Ah that now picked up 4 gutterball wheel outs), and spew are in his range.

Less than 150bb deep, not ever looking for a reason to fold AA on all except the ugliest of boards (4 to a straight/flush w/ no redraw).

When he raises your cbet, i'd ship.

Can get value from weaker pairs, pp's, and flush draws.

I agree that we cant get away there unless we have some sort of read that he is not capable of raising flush draws/straight draws. you should get the money in against a combination of draws, top pair type hands, overpairs or combo draws and you are definitely ahead of his range.
