Omg im becoming a poker nerd, because I'm smiling that Tuba steve answered my post. In retrospect should I have pre-flop re-raised 3 x?
you should never really base your raise sizes on multiples of the bet, its about denying your opponent pot and implied odds. i would just raise the size of the pot here which should be about $7.

I'd 3bet pre as well, and definitely bet river for value, when he check/calls the turn you're almost always ahead either getting value from an ace or KK,QQ,JJ, TT that he doesn't want to fold, and he'll probably fold these to a river bet, but you'll still get a call from worse Aces.

I agree with the 3bet pre. However, I have never been able to find a good bet size, pretty much defaulting to a 3x-3.5x standard. I know this will be a simpleton question, but what items should be considered when sizing up a 3-bet?

usually you can just pot it. if i'm squeezing like 3-4 people i'll raise a few BB less than the pot (since a PSB can end up being like 22bb which is way too big to expect anyone to ever just flatcall and doesn't give us good leverage).
