hi guys :

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (UTG): $29.05
CO: $19.85
BTN: $10.34
SB: $12.27
BB: $41.39

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero has QSpade ADiamond

Hero raises to $0.85, fold, BTN calls $0.85, fold, BB calls $0.60

Flop: ($2.65, 3 players) QClub KHeart 9Spade
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $0.25, BB calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25

Turn: ($3.40, 3 players) 8Club
BB checks, Hero checks, BTN bets $0.50, fold, Hero calls $0.50

River: ($4.40, 2 players) AHeart
Hero bets $3.00, BTN raises to $8.74 and is all-in, Hero ?

so i decided not to Cb (mistake ?) because im only folding worse hands and getting calls from better.
maybe i can get a call out of QT QJ kinda hands

turn same thing, he bets small so i call
river i hit 2p and decide to lead to get calls out of worse 2p Kx and whatever

can i ever fold when he shoves ? am i ever ahead if shoves ?

Such a goofy hand. I don't mind your c/c on the flop. It just depends on how passive he is. If he is passive enough, you might as well bet. On the river, you could also check to let him bluff, but given how small he bet on the previous street, I don't mind leading out. I think you can actually fold to his shove. When a fish suddenly starts betting huge or raising on the river, I think he usually has the nuts. He can definitely have 2pair sometimes, but not necessarily often enough.

i don't mind checking there with your hand, vs 2 ppl on a coordinated board. We can't really barrel for value here, so x/c is ok.

As played, i'm def calling the river. With AK, the btn would have bet more on the turn. I think he's got a range of
AQ, A9, JT

we're getting like 3.2:1, he's a fish, i call. I'm not looking to hero fold vs a short stacking fish with 2 pair.

Ask this question yourself before you lead out river. If you don't have a clear answer than check call and you're fine.

Your hand sample is quite small on this guy but I presume isn't a reg. I personally don't like your check call line on flop/turn. I probably would have personally ellected to cbet and could see reasons why you wouldn't want to do so (villain only folds out worse) but I believe this board is coordinated enough for villain too be able to call with some draws which are mainly made up of single paired hands plus straight draws you get value out of such as 109, J9, J10, Q10, JQ that I lean towards a cbet here. I don't really understand your donking of river given the general lack of interest that villain had shown through his bet sizing can you please elaborate more?

you're starting off OK, but you're attributing skill to this player that isn't really supported. loose, fishy players will peel as weak as 79 here with some frequency plus any random stuff like J7dd that has a gutshot. it's certainly worthy of consideration, but you're assuming he plays way more correctly than his preflop stats so far indicate he should.
