On the turn I didn't bet beacuse it seemed to me that he might not call with KJ ot KT two more streets and I can get value on the river. On the river I think this is a crying call, because I don't think he does this a lot with KJ or KT, he might not even call pre with those.

I'm not thrilled about your bet sizes. On the flop even though it is a dry board we have a potential straight draw out there. Personally I would bet like $2.75 on the flop. The turn card is nothing to worry about unless he has pocket 88s, so why check? I would bet the turn again here, probably like $5.00. Finally on the river you hit trips and you only bet $3.51 which is less than half pot. Just going by villains stats he seems like a decent player and could have interpreted your small bet as a sign of weakness and raised you to $8. He does have an AF of 2.3, I think I might shove over the top here in your position. What do think he checked the turn with?

I hear what you are saying about not getting three streets, but I'm still betting the turn. I'd rather just get my value now oop.
As played I think you have to call the river you are getting better than 4:1. I don't think you are going to be good much, but with your weak line probably enough.

This makes no sense at all. What you're saying is that you think your hand is a 2 street value hand vs his calling-with-worse range so you decide to give him a free river. If you don't think you can get 3 streets of value (whether you can or can't is another debate) then bet the flop and the turn and check the river.
Bet bigger on the flop, bet the turn $5.5ish, ship the river. As played just go all in.

My line of thinking was since I raised a bit bigger preflop I didn't expect him to call me with KJ or lower. That's why I put him on AQ or KQ ot JT or 66 on the flop. I agree I should bet the turn rather. But then he checked back the turn which he probably wouldn't do with JT - he would bet that because I look weak. So on the river he still has AQ or KQ or 66 imo. I bet half pot to get a call from AQ. But when he raised I was very sure he has either KQ or 66. Called nontheless and he showed 66.

Im curious to know what you think villain could have thats worse than your AK on the flop? If he had a two pair type hand, i would think that a tight reg, would raise that flop seeing the broadway draw out there. The check on the turn makes no sense. Do you not expect to get value from a worse hand like KJ OR KT? You give him a chance at a free card on the turn if hes drawing to a straight, which is a terrible mistake IMO. I would say betting the turn enough to set the stacks up for a pot sized river shove is the correct play here. Showing weakness on essentially an innocuous turn card is terrible. Having taken that line though, 3bet shoving the river is the clear play. Unless he slowplayed the turn with KQ. Youre clearly good. My guess is that he busted a straight draw after taking the free card by checking behind on the turn and is now attempting to represent a K after seeing weakness in the line you took

I agree that I should bet the turn, that was a mistake for sure. But I have to say that his range is quite easy to narrow down imo, since this is a 3 way pot and I am betting into 2 people, so as I said his range is: AQ, KQ, 66 and JT and not much else. JT is betting the turn most of the time when checked to I think. The hands he raises on the river having checked the turn (to get more value imo) are KQ an 66. I don't think he raises KQ that often on a rainbow flop. He checked the turn to keep me in.

I have to disagree. If you display weakness on the turn, he has to bet for value. I think he can expect you to call with worse if you werent just Cbetting the flop. Its a big mistake on his part to not protect a two pair hand that is vulnerable to a straight on the river. Same reason that it was a mistake for you to check the turn. If hes slowplaying a set after flat calling the flop, i find it hard to believe that he would slowplay the turn as well. What hands does he expect you to improve with that you will call a raise on the river if you dont hit a straight? I think it was poor play on his part if hes good against your AK, but i think that youre good so often here that its hard not to shove the river here with what is probably the nuts in this situation. Im curious to know how this hand turned out.

I think you make some very good points. I think you are right about the fact that I should bet and the fact that he should bet when checked to. As I assigned him this range (which I think is pretty accurate) I was planning to play accordingly. If the ace hit on the river I wouldn't stack off - I would just call a smaller raise. Other hands that he raises the river with on this particular card have me beat (KQ and 66). I had a plan is what I'm trying to say against his range. He had 66 by the way.
And another thing when you reraise AI here - which hand do you think will call that doesn't have you beat??? Maybe and really really maybe KJ.
