Hey guys,

I was wondering what we should do here, do you ever fold this? We seem to be behind vs his range, which is sets, straight, straight draw + flush draw, overpair, pair+FD or flipping at best.
What do you do in spots like this?

Thanks for the help.

Do you stack off on the flop when he raises? I think this is a tough spot, because we might be drawing dead already. I'm really interested in this spot.

We are drawing dead if he has a set of 88 or 99. We are behind his range or flipping at best, so do you think we should fold or?

you are wrong
if he has 99 we can still hit runner runner quad 8's
if he has 88 we just need to hit a 9 and were good

this is actually a pretty simple range & math question.
i mean, you already gave him a range, are you pretty sure about that range ?
if so, put it into poker stove & see how much equity you have, if you know that you know if folding or jamming is the best play

Maybe not drawing dead but drawing really really slim. When I checked the pokerstove it looked like we have about 40% - if my range is right of course. I wonder what kind of range would you guys assign here? We invested so little prior to the raise that we could just fold and save money don't you think?

He has a gap between VPiP and PFR + he's a nit; it often indicates that he's more on the passive side. Therefore, I don't expect him to raise a naked T or naked FD in this spot. He probably 3bets QQ+ pre, as for JJ he may call but I don't think he'll raise it on the flop very often.

Equity Win Tie
MP2 33.36% 29.65% 3.71% 9c8c
MP3 66.64% 62.92% 3.71% 99-77, JTs, 98s, 87s, 65s, AsTs, KsTs, QsTs, Ts9s, As6s, As5s

If he raises more combodraws, this doesn't help you much because you're roughly flipping with them. Plus you've shown a lot of strength by donking into two people on this board.

Regards
