Hi guys, been at the table for around 20 hands and villain is playing 32/32 3bet 14% , I 3bet pre to see how he reacts to 3bets. I think its a good spot to 3b as I have blockers to the Ace as well.
When he flats IP, I don't necessarily give him credit for a particularly strong range as players like to flat very wide in this situation.
The flop comes super dry with a K and is therefore a great board to cbet obviously. Villain then raises, at this point I find it very hard to put him on a hand that make sense, any K would just flat, sets wouldnt raise on such a dry board, I figured his range probably consists of air and maybe some semi bluffs like A2.
For this reason I think this is a pretty good spot to shove, I just find it so hard to believe he ever has a hand good enough to call.
What do you guys think?
Cheers.

I like the 3 bet, but I don't agree that players like to flat very wide in this situation. I guess it depends on your definition of very wide.
I also agree it's a good board to cbet. While I agree that it he may just call a lot of his value hand, you really don't have a lot of information and I don't think many people are raising dry K hi flops in 3 bet pots. He may be, but I wouldn't assume it with only 20 hands.
If you are going to continue shoving is about the only choice since you may actually be behind some of his "air".

Yeah very wide was probably a bit too far, I was just trying ot get across that I dont believe his range is necessarily super strong in this situation

Sorry I dont really understand this? Are you saying you believe folding is superior due to the limited information we have on this player?
Cheers.

Yeah sorry I wasn't very clear. Basically without a good read you are going to find that in general micro players are passive and even if it doesn't make a ton of sense if an unknown shows aggression you should probably assume it's for value.
