How was my play on the turn? Pre and flop I put his range at 2 face cards, small/medium pair, A rag hearts. After the second king hits I'm thinking AJ, QJ, 99, JJ and obviously but more unlikely now, the K hands AK, KQ, KT. KJ would've probably raised on the flop, but that's a possibility. I 3bet to test his hand strength and also for value as the second King might've given him the reason to raise due to representing a K and any J hand's look better now. Seeing a call I'm wary as his range is mostly beating me, but the river bet is small. What does it mean? Just value? I don't have a chance to raise him off it though as it's most my stack.

I could've folded to the raise on the turn, but it just seem's a great place for him to do that. Call turn and fold river to any big bets?

What to do here and what could I have done differently before the river?

You said you were 3betting the turn for value, however in the same statement said you were wary of a call. So in reality what is the purpose of 3betting here, what worse hands can you get to call and which better hands will call/raise?

Is there no way of doing both? Of course I'm wary that he has me beat, but if he doesn't I want some value for it! Lol

Is that stupid? You've got to look stupid sometimes to improve though ha

It's not stupid at all. You're going for what is called thin value. Experimenting with new plays when learning and thinking about them is never stupid. I like how you kept your raise sizing small as this will help keep worse in.

However in this situation I do not believe you will get enough worse to call and I do not believe you will get better to fold.

Thanks =)

Generally speaking, would worse not be calling because the board is pretty wet with draws etc? If it had been K, 9, 6, K, no FD, would it be a better 3bet on the turn there? What would be a good reason to 3bet here?

Player dependant of course. But generally speaking at that level players will call far more often than fold so bluffing is out of the question for me. If the player is unknown I am only 3betting for clean value, be it full houses, straights or big kings. Then looking to get to showdown with weaker hands, weak kings and below.
