So far villain is playing very aggro and most likely is a reg. In this ~140 hands his stats say:

34/27/30 (3b)
4b around 60%
aggr 3.00
foldto3b 0
foldtocbflop3b (?)

The 1st hand I 3b him bvb and he 4b me, I fold. Second time he 4b me he opens btn and folds vs my 5b shove. He also was very active with 3 and 4betting against other players.

I've also seen him ch/r all my 3 cbets on very dry boards so far. So at the time I had the following reads on him:

bvb - 4b hero's 1st 3b
btn-sb 4b/f 2nd 3b hero
sb-btn ch/r 26Tr
sb-mp ch/r 27Kr
sb-mp ch/r/f 247r

With this information, what's the most optimal line we can take vs this villain?

I was pretty active this session at most tables, something like 30/25 with a 3b around 15+% at that moment..

Anybody?

Btw, does somebody know why HM2 is converting all the stack/bet sizes x100? It's looking like this is 5KNL right now..

I would bet/fold flop (fold out all PP's). If he calls I would plan on check/folding any card that doesn't improve us.

I think the fact he called and didnt 4 bet may be slightly suspect tbh given how high his 3 bet and 4 bet stats are, that said there is a lot of hands he " should be calling pre" with but given how aggro he is i doubt he give up a huge % otf. I would probably plan to bet shove or c/c and see if we gain more equity on the turn to semibluff with. and yah converter thing is silly

Bein OOP vs this guy is gay if he continues with the aggression post-flop...I prob fire a c-bet and continue on any Heart and Q plus...I think would be best line...considering villain has his widest range...might even go three here...do you have any postflop reads??

What about check-shoving this? We do not mind seeing a free turn, so no problem if it gets checked-through. Villain will probably call pretty light and look himself to bluff us of, so check-shoving gains a lot from all his bluffs and improves our fold equity (I doubt villain folds 88 here to a c-bet, but he may fold it to a check-shove). In addition, our equity isn't bad, with overs plus gutter together with showdown value if villain should happen to be drawing.

Didn't had much postflop reads at that moment from villain, only those I wrote down in the OP. (The notes where he ch/raises cbets light in single raised pots OOP as the PF caller.)

At that time, with those reads, I think bet shoving is best. Villain probably has a wide range in 3b pots when looking at his stats. I also think he could have a reasonable wide range where he's raising cbets with, also in 3betpots when we're looking at our reads and his aggro stats.

At that moment I was kinda lost and didn't know what to do because I never saw villain calling a 3bet until then. So I did decided to cb but folded to his small raise. (He raised my cb from $5.5 to $12.)

Later on in the session I got more reads:

c 3b IP KK r cb AI 37Ts
cold4b/c QQ 5-14
And he 4b/folded more hands.

What if I had these reads when I played the hand in the OP? Is it gonna change anything?
What about cb/f or maybe even ch/f? It looks like villain often has a strong range when calling 3bets and is 4betting a weaker range.

seems like he will only 4bet the top of his range after this. if hes calling with a marginal hand here like Jx and will float a lot its proably the best to check raise the flop (looks so strong and makes him fold a lot of his value hands). since you have at least 10 outs vs a single Jx hand its +EV to do so I believe.

what do you guys think?

€dit: is this zoom btw?
