I would say..... Don't double barrel the 4 of hearts, I generally only double barrel if my equity improves on the turn, (so if i develop a flush draw/straight draw/hit a pair), or a scare card comes on the turn. Like if this was the 4 of clubs, I would double barrel that.
So cards I would double barrel here:
Any club, any king, any ace, any 2 (ofcourse) - Why a king? Well I don't see alot of kings in his range here, and you think he has a tendency to float the flop (let's play off that), if a king hits the turn he won't be able to continue with a lot of his hands, and your repping a strong hand, and with the king flopping on the turn it takes a few more combinations of kings out of his hand.
If you plan to double barrel, think about what cards you will double barrel that come on the turn, and act on that plan, better then thinking, this seems like a good time to double barrel.

Thanks. It does seem a bit thin to double barrel this card.
But if I think I'll be floated, perhaps I can c/c profitably one street? Just betting flop and giving up on most cards seems too weak

Dunno if chc turn chf any unimproving river is good, if I had to guess, no, because your hand is so face up at that point, he might perceive it as a lot of Ahighs too because of the added gutter so I kinda think he would barrel the river enough to make chc chf profitable

Do you know if villain likes to float a lot? Also I would double barrel with the 4 of hearts because now you have 9 outs to make a better hand, two 2s for trips, four 5s for a straight, and three Aces for two pair. Also you might be able to bluff him off the hand if another club comes on the river.....if the river is a blank then just check fold.....

Betting this turn is fine if you in addition to betting the obvious river cards also bet any club.
Do you mean rivers we are betting for value by "obvious river cards"? Because I really have a hard time finding any non-club I would want to bet as a bluff. Am I overlooking something?

- Villain looks like a loose player so far
- He hasn't folded to any c-bet so far (small sample, but we can start suspecting him being a float happy player)
Worst strategy vs this player:
- c-betting "one and done" (which is a result of not having a plan)
Best strategy vs this player:
- x/f immediately
- double or even triple barrel
Flop
1. First of all try to estimate his Call Open BTN range. Let's assume it is:
{ TT-22,AQs-A8s,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,T9s,98s,AQo-AJo,KQo }
2. Check how this range is connected with the flop (Flopzilla can help)
set: 4.615%
two pair: 0%
overpair: 0%
top pair: 13.85%
pp below tp: 32.31%
middle pair: 0%
weak pair: 0%
ace high: 33.85%
no made hand: 15.38%
flushdraw: 7.692%
OESD: 0%
gutshot: 0%
2crd bckdr fd.: 10%
flushdraw+pair: 0%
flushdr.+oesd: 0%
flushdr.+gutsh.: 0%
oesd+pair: 0%
gutshot+pair: 0%
gutshot+overc.: 0%
About 75% of the time he has a hand that can't withstand high pressure.
3. Bet $2.75 or $3.00 (you plan to fold him out later, so the more you bet now, the more you win)
Turn
Barrel for $6-$6.50. If he calls now, he has:
- Kx
- club draws (Ax are the most likely combos)
- stubborn pocket pairs
River
Good cards for 3rd barrel (about $12-$16 in to the $21-$22 pot)
- obv all 2s, 5s and As
- Clubs are better for you than for him (he didn't raise earlier = less probable he has a monster + he has only like 4-6 possible flushes).
- Kings are good as well (however, he may be more Hero Call happy on those, you will make a note if he calls with a hand like 77)

this isn't a bad spot. you'll likely bluff out some medium hands like 88 or what have you. occasionally they'll call with worse hands as well, like flush draws or what have you.
as for c/cing, i prefer that you have a bit more sd value before you do so. your hand really isn't strong enough here to c/c unless you think he's FOS a lot.

Betting this turn is fine if you in addition to betting the obvious river cards also bet any club.
Edit: Betting this turn with 77 would most likely have been a mistake.
Because 77 should be in our check call range instead, right?
