Merge $25.00 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 1775221

SB: $23.89 - VPIP: 25, PFR: 23, 3B: 18, AF: 3.5, Hands: 79
BB: $20.97 - VPIP: 50, PFR: 25, 3B: 0, AF: 0.5, Hands: 12
UTG: $27.23 - VPIP: 19, PFR: 15, 3B: 11, AF: 2.2, Hands: 403
CO: $22.14 - VPIP: 19, PFR: 10, 3B: 0, AF: 2.3, Hands: 62
Hero (BTN): $28.11 - VPIP: 21, PFR: 17, 3B: 7, AF: 2.7, Hands: 2898

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is BTN with 5 Heart 8 Heart
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.65, SB raises to $1.67, BB calls $1.42

Is just mucking preflop the best idea given SB 3bet and BB? Probably so!
Since villain was 3betting a ton and BB just called, I thought I can 4-bet and take it down a good amount of the time? haha

Call here is a mistake because our hand flops mid/bottom pairs which can peel once in 3b pots and fold. Also a lot more dominated draws and no fold equity 3way with fish.
It's a turbofold.
Other thing is that you have just 78 hands on SB and don't know how often he is gonna fold to your 4bet, so 4bet bluffing here can be a lot more -EV than calling.

I wouldn't say this we get really good pot odds and a chance to play a pot IP with the BB who looks pretty fishy. I think I'd call here a lot tbh.

And yeah not a great spot to 4b bluff.

you should be way behind both sb,bb ranges here. why raise this hand vs. them any ways? you are not going to get enough folds and the hand doesnt play well post flop. my opinion.

Absolutely never 4bet in this spot. If BB was a reg it's a fold (when you 4bet bluff it's good to have blockers). If BB is a fish, I think calling>folding, because you want to play as many pots as possible with the fish + SB will be pretty honest 3way and you'll be able to play well postflop IP + you have a hand with some potential. Moreover, he made his 3bet pretty small.
