Keep in mind that villain is a complete unknown (his second hand at the table). It's my experience that, at these stakes, you're most likely up against either a complete nit or a loose passive (but very willing to play top pair, shitty kicker). Running it through stove with villain's range as A2-A5, 43, 22, 55, QQ+, AQ+ - worst case scenario IMO - gives me about 40% equity here, but it takes very few bad aces or random semi-bluff hands to make it about a coinflip. IMO this is a shove-or-fold situation since I am not really interested in having to play any more streets with this guy, but I can't figure this situation out. If I do shove and get called, I am either ahead by a big margin or I'm completely beat.

This looks like the easiest call ever, why shove and fold out his bluffs, etc. We're not afraid of any turn card, including diamonds.
Why are we putting 22, 55, 34, A2, A5 in villain's range? All of these are discounted, some heavily. His range looks to me like AJ+, AA, flush draws, air.

Like I said, worst case scenario. But I guess you're right: since villain is the one 3betting PF, not the one calling, these are probably discounted.
My problem with calling here is that I think villain makes himself obliged to either lead out on the turn or give up. With a pot-size bet like that on the flop, I really don't want to face another pot-size or 3/4 pot bet on the turn when I am so unsure of villain's holding. I think calling means putting yourself in a very tough spot on the turn.

If an offsuit jack, king or T rolls off on the turn, and he continues to bet, we aren't gonna be worried?
But yah, probably calling the flop, and folding the turn on any non Q or diamond seems okay. we can't raise the flop because he is only stacking off with 2p, sets, and big draws. He will almost always cbet with JJ/QQ/KK on the flop, and probably just give up on the turn as well, so i don't think calling is too bad.
