And now we are getting to the point i would like to discuss with you. What would you think about a coaching series in the "coaching Christy" style, but not in Sh He but in Sh Plo?
Look up the "PLO Pro" series.

Video suggestion for Nolan
please please make a 6max video sometimes which deals with the difference between 6max and FR for players wanting to move over to 6max. I've seen from your ptr that you are a huge winner in both games which is not that common. I've seen quite a lot of FR players which have miserable results in 6max. My winrate in 6max is considerably lower that in FR.
That would be the nuts!

Love to see a mid-high stakes FLO8 6 max series with Gergery. Preferrably like 8/16 and up.

pr1nnyraiding/DOGISHEADSUP for HULO Series:
The original two pr1nnyraiding and DOGISHEADSUP series were my favorite (ok maybe Unconventional Wisdom back in the day) on the site. The three were done greatly and I think you guys could do the same for HUPLO. Their seems to be a real lack of HUPLO content on the site 23 non-connected videos compared to the hundreds of HUNL/6-MaxNL/PLO videos (which I understand is what the people want but you made a triple draw series for god sake, that I thoroughly enjoyed!!). Once you try this play game and except the HUGE daily swings 100 buyin BR min imo. It's the funnest poker game ever. I think with the right instructors (guys who play HULPO constantly not just once in a while) this could be a great series and a unique addition to the site and would definitely get me to re sign up (I sporadically subscribe when something interests me).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I also submittted this idea to slowhabit about writing a book about it but who knows. Here's what i wrote him on the subject:
HUPLO BOOK
Make it realistically expensive and make sure it doesn't get leaked like all you other ebooks. This may be the last extremely profitable form of poker that isn't reg infested even at the micros. Hire some bad-ass HULPO player to help you write it. like DOGISHEAD or I'm sure you know lot's of great HUPLO players. I would definitely pay 200+ for this if it was done right.
Thank you for your time,
Terry Wagner

I have two suggestions, both are topics that are often discussed in passing, but I havent seen any specific focus yet.
1) Video series dedicated to strategies for note taking. I came up with this idea while coaching a student, I realized she was taking notes mid but the logic behind her notes was flawed. Her shorthand was bad which made her notes hard to read mid-game, and she would make notes on bad beats, rather than observations in-game. This could also be incorporated with HUD customization lessons to teach vid watchers how to get the most out of their HUD data in an efficient manner.
2) NL blind play in 6-max games. The in-game dynamic of blind play is different from heads up games, yet the theory behind optimal strategies are similar. I think a replayer/Powerpoint series on this very specific topic would be very interesting and in turn may become one of the more beloved series if taught well; I admit it would be challenging for the teacher because many of the decisions are subjective and based on opponent past experience.
Hope you like my ideas!

All the time I'm hearing about these high stakes guys playing this whenever they have some spare time and as I plan on being hugely successful in the near future I would like to see an episode of the basics and strategies of... And Now For Something Different: Chinese Poker.

I would like there to be a new series called over the rainbow.
Often in poker we are looking where the new money goes, and when a new poker variant is introduced into online poker, theres easy money to be earned for us to pocket, though often we do not have the knowledge to be able to exploit a game.
in this series hopefully ongoing like ghost/mentor, instructors would look at new
poker games/variants and provide their insights into the games.
Examples of new variants that could have been part of the series in the past:
Matrix Sngs
Double of nothings
Hyper-turbo sngs
Rush poker variants
Introduction of badugi onto stars
7/8 game
No limit triple draw
Introduction of 20-50bb games
instructors dont really have to be experts at these games or even play them often, they would just have to provide some food for thought to get a push start that the competiton doesnt have.

I would like to see a DC series on the impact of Rake on our winrate.
Some mathematical treatment on gross rake on Winrates of the two major poker sites.
I have seen LHE coaches talk about the impact of some rake rates below a certain level making games almost unprofitable - I would like to see a treatment of this for both LHE and NLHE.
- This is particularly important when the maximum rake paid on say a pot in a 10NL - 100NL pot can be = to the maximum rake on a 1000NL game.
SO operative assumption of needing 50% EV for some decisions are in fact wrong when upto 5% can be taken by the site.
- How the rake is calculated? Does this effect our PF strategies? e.g. does very aggressive PF 3b/4b become more important when rake is not paid on flops not seen.
- How to assess what your true winrate is in HEM?
- Methods of improving your return from pokersites.....
- Comparison of avg rake paid pots of cap or 20/50bb games vs regular games
- How important rake is in game selection and why?
- What Statistics/ villian types effect rake? How does this effect quality of table and game selection?
I would suggest that Josh (sthief) would be an excellent person to do such a series given his attention to detail in Prof Plotkin and Playbook series.
( LHE, PLO, Euro sites and live poker addons - can easily be incorporated within this potential series.)
I sincerely hope someone would like to do this series and that DC takes up the challenge of accounting for this Elephant in the Poker rooms.
Cheers
Dan.

Thread is tl;dr, so I apologize if this has been suggested before. I actually saw this suggested in a video once. I can't remember if it was on DC or not, and the instructor was mostly kidding, but it could be a great series. A fish made some really silly (but common for fish) play and the joke was "we should have the fish make videos for us - we need to know what they're thinking here." This kind of got me thinking about the work we do, and it brought up parallels to anthropologists studying apes, for instance. We constantly try to get into the mind of our opponents - why not get it from the source?
Coming at it from another angle, this is a benefit of the "real life" video format. A few things stick out in my mind as having been hugely educational. One was in the first episode of RLMLG, where Mike checks a flopped set of kings after three betting. His reasoning was "well, I've got the board crushed, so I want him to bluff or catch up." No offense to Mike, of course, who grew into a great poker player, but hearing that from a novice was extremely valuable.
I'm not sure how you could structure this. As I said, the RLMLG series do a good job of this where the instructors follow a Baluga-esque socratic questioning model. "OK, what were you thinking here?" Perhaps we could just build on that thinking and take it further - really have recreational, novice players explain their thought process in detail throughout a video, and have the coach shift his focus slightly. Rather than have the coach explain what the student should have done instead, maybe have the coach focus more on how s/he would exploit this leak.
Hopefully that's clear, albeit vague.

I'm trying to think of ways to implement this idea because I think it could be really good. We'd have to essentially pick someone who is a part of the community, but hasn't watching many videos or has learned very little. I think we'd be surprised with how many people could relate to this "fish" and the weaker players would benefit from getting basic questions answered, whereas more experienced players would benefit from getting inside the weaker players mind.

Go to the 2+2 beginner forums and run a season as a kind of game show. Get a bunch of people to take part with the winner getting a year of a DC subscription. Each show folks bring a hand and everyone discusses it. Winner is the one who seems the most dedicated to improve. Revisit the series in a year with the winning player.
Just a suggestion.

Dunno if it was already suggested before, but two ideas for a video series:
1) On playing at the short 50bb tables, they're quite popular nowadays and pretty fishy
2) On playing at deep stack and ante+deep stack tables
