Hey guys,

There have been a bunch of video idea/series idea threads popping up all over. Use this one now, it's stickied and all official-like.

Here's one of the old, bigger threads to get that brainjuice flowing:

As someone who is trying full time poker, I would like to heard about how the poker-pro handle their schedule.

Improva told me its something under estimated and gave me good advices, so I think making a video on what they are doing on commun day

Ex : on what their are working / studying , do they go to the gym ? is eating fastfood 5days/week is better for mental aspect ? Is walking dress in a chili-pepper help to evacuate the pressure ?

We could follow him(her) with kind of camera, combined with powerpoint - replayer, etc,

This could be a 1 sample video or even a serie with a different poker-pro each week.

"Samurai Showdown"

8 members challenge me to a HU PLO match. If they can defeat me, they win a special edition ninja DC hoodie (!)

Win or lose, the session is reviewed as an hour-long episode by myself and some other special guest coaches.

I will become a paying member for these video's:

- Tilt! A video in which the coach is tilting hard. Something like tuff_fish. I don't know if it would be useful (probably not) but it would be fun. And nice to see that it happens to the best of us. Smile
- Backgammon. Seems like a fun game, but I never played it. I'm curious about the rules and very basic strategy.

A new variety hour series: Euroland. A series specifically based on Euro sites. One every few weeks. Would help us Eurodonks, but would still be 100% applicable to 100% of cash players whether US or Euro. 2 for the price of 1 if you like. No skin off anyone's nose...and various other strained metaphors.

Euroland would be great, iPoker if possible. I have played FL there like 1.5y+ and would be nice to get your comments about regulars playing there. Make few parts on 3/6+ HU, 6-max & full.

now that Stars has Badugi, i think a series or even a stand alone would be great.

I think an overview of the game, along with some of the basic math scenarios given would benefit everyone... plus a basic hand chart/rules of thumb about what to play from where...

a video on blind defense would be an obvious one because, like other games you have to defend differently from an utg raiser than a button steal, but how to do that would be great.

video on lower stakes and then slightly higher (ie .25/.50 where the games are super loose and passive vs 3/6 or something)

video on short handed play... five's a crowd for the badugi player

I remember DeathDonkey and DJ Sensei making reference to Badugi in their Triple the Gold series, so maybe one of them could spear head.

If you wanted to do a member driven one, I would love to be 'taught' (for the educational purposes of other DCers, rather than for my own selfish gains, of course) how to play.

I'd like to see a common "PLO spots" series. Where a coach goes through their HH database and finds several hands all very similar and using a replayer talks through each one. Each Episode would be a different topic. Possible topics off the top of my head:

1. Playing naked AA
2. 3+4 betting pre
3. Flopping trips (and the board pairs)
4. None nut flushes and draws
5. blinds play
6. Turning your hand into a bluff on the river

DC Reserved tournaments:

You see other sites, AKA "railbirds", etc that have restricted freerolls on FTP. I'm not sure how much of a financial burden it is arranging such a thing with FTP but is it something DC can look into. The cool thing would be then we could have a weekly freeroll (not to mention it's kinda cool advertising in a way for the site) and it gives us the mere mortal players to actually compete against you guys in a tournament format (I know yuck!) but it isn't a financial risk to any of the players and who wouldn't love to win a tournament comprised of DC members and coaches. Maybe even some cool bounties for taking out a DC (coach, producer or exec producer). Give it some thought, I'm sure something could be worked out although honestly I have no idea how much FTP charges other sites that do this but in the grand scheme of things I wouldn't think its too horrible....

I make this suggestion because it's alot of serious very good training stuff. I know this isn't technically a series but I think it would increase participation and create a bit of the fun factor or even no matter how bad your week was, you get to play in the weekly freeroll and have some fun while your at it.

Peace out

The best series ever has already been suggested, from what I can remember it goes like this:

Two coaches, Two Students. Contest between the coaches to get their students to a highest bb/100 over 20,000 hands at 50nl or 100nl! The catch is that the coaches choose the student for the other coach!

I'm not sure "I stuck you with a donk" is really gonna those involved feel too good, but hey if it floats your boat.

It's incredibly easy to set up private tourneys. I was curious why DC didn't ever seem to put one on, great free advertising. Quoted is from Full Tilt's forum on how to do it.

To set up a private tournament, simply send an e-mail to privatetournaments@fulltiltpoker.com with all of the following information regarding the tournament you want set up:

Tournament Name:

Tournament Date:

Tournament Time:

Game to be Played:

Buy-In and Entry Fee:

Password:

Expected Turnout:

That's everything, but here are a few other things to be sure to watch for:

The tournament's name can not exceed 25 characters.

The time you choose is clear (If you want a tournament at 4 PM, don't just write 4:00, write 16:00 SERVER TIME). All unlabeled time zones are interpreted as SERVER TIME, which is US ET.

The entry fee must be at least 10% of the buy-in.

The password must be all lower case letters without spaces.

If you want a tournament with something other than a nine player minimum, make that clear in your e-mail.
