I would imagine it\'s not that easy to come up with something that is not totally standard, but also not so difficult that only very good players would get it, or else needs a very specific read on a player to understand the correct play.
Very much agreed with this. That said its a good idea and we\'ll discuss and probably implement something. We have a neat idea for a longer term project that covers this already, but its a ways out.

Yes I really like the hand quizzes in those books too, in fact I\'m sure if Stoxtrader was to produce a book completely filled with hand quizzes and the hands with Stox section it would probably sell very well.
Have you read Bryon Jacobs \'How Good Is Your Limit Hold\'em\'
It\'s entirely composed of hand quizzes, my only slight niggle with it is that his descriptions of the players can be a little vague at times and so you can get some of the questions wrong because you haven\'t understood his player read.
Your suggestion regarding the experts posting a hand now and again seem like a very good idea to me, but then again I\'m not the one who has to come up with a hand lol. I would imagine it\'s not that easy to come up with something that is not totally standard, but also not so difficult that only very good players would get it, or else needs a very specific read on a player to understand the correct play.

I don\'t know about you guys but my favorite parts of Stox\' book, SSHE, and HOH were the hand quizzes.
I think this idea would help me a great deal/generate more activity in the forums... others can chime in if they think it would be of help to their game or not.
here\'s my idea...
site experts post a hand every so often in the forums (more the better) ...
the hand will showcase a certain principle that you wish to teach us etc...
all DC members will have a little less than a week to post/debate/comment on the hand.
after the time is up, the experts will comment on our postings and correct our thinking etc.
While the hand quizzes in books are often helpful , being left to debate/discuss the reasoning behind why we are making a move would help me a great deal.Even if there is not a clear-cut answer having the experts expose angles/concepts that we might be ignoring would be about as helpful as any learning experience I could think of.
If the hand quiz etc. results in a lower output of
videos, I wouldn\'t mind at all. (The videos are awesome, don\'t get me wrong) just an idea...
