I don't know what happened.. played too many tables I guess now I'm stuck at NL10 and I can't for the life of it win. I think I'm running quite bad and getting coolered a lot from analyzing my hand histories.. but NL10 I should be beating... I mean I have at least 3 droolers per table. I think I spaz when I get 3bet too often. (yet im beating nl25 for 2.5 ptbb over 50k hands but maybe i was just runnin goot)
I just need to watch some standard micro play to re-invigorate my solid play... I think I make too many dumb river calls when it's clear villain hit.
anyways, thread title = question

Well, in my opinion Kristy kept on playing a bit overaggressive and it took a long time for Baluga to teach her not to. The opponents also played back quite a lot 3-betting and 4-betting her. This dynamics would not take place at NL10 so if faced with 3- and 4-bets you would misapply what you learned. Ranges are wider in Kristy's stakes and applying the advice at NL10 etc would lead to spewy preflop play and so on..
I'm sure there are series at DC that cover real micros better than NL50-100 series, IF there aren't, there should be.

You don't "apply" ranges from videos to your current situation/session, srsly
I said applying the "advice". Didn't I?
Coaching Kristy 1 is one of the best series around .
That being said I find it strange if it was the most standard micro series here at DC.
Seriously if it is then we need a NL10 or NL25 no fancy play series.
I would view MOST STANDARD MICRO vid as something where a good player / pro is playing very standard and mistake free, while Coaching Kristy is a video review that includes tons of mistakes. Nice series yeah, but is not what the OP asked for.
This is all I was saying, sorry to hurt so many feelings, will not comment further on this topic.

OP should watch videos that teach you what to think about and how to think about it so that he can apply concepts to his own games and adapt to what he encounters, not videos where the instructor is playing/coaching in the exact games that he is playing in and then go and try to copy what the coach does without understanding why.
Coaching Kristy 1 will be the best for teaching a microstakes player the right things to think about and will help him develop a standard game. Also watching the math series is a good idea. Also agree with watching the Coaching Tree.
