This thread discusses the Content article: 1/2 Full Ring - DeathDonkey - 10/29/07

Please use this thread to discuss my latest video. There are several fun hands from this session that I\'m sure have debatable actions. I can also answer any questions you have about my play and/or commentary.

Thanks,
DeathDonkey

DD ....
Great video as ussual...
people that do things well, make them look easy
you do that.
But are also able to convey your thoughts well
to us lessers.

I play 6 max online. And 9 handed live games at CCC.
so I go back and forth...
My question is about hands like A9o,KJo,KTo,QTo etc.
In 6 max, we normally are trying to isolate one or two limpers, while maybe getting some dead money from the blinds and taking control of the hand with these types of hands.
In a full ring game sometimes there are 4 limpers before it gets to us.
I understand these hands suffer from RIO/domination.
Another factor is, I am constantly looking for places to play more hands live. so folding these hands is difficult for me as they appear strong.

one hand in the video you mentioned it was ok to limp along with even AQo with many players already in.
do I only try to isolate one ore two players and no more, with these weaker playable hands?
can you please give me some \"GUIDELINES\" for these trouble hands.

should I be limping more, raising more, folding more??? or is there something to look for...that will guide me...
any advice will help...ty

Excellent video DD, this one is absolutley packed with useful information, I will have to watch it several times over to gain every thing I can from it.

You and the other two guys are not big fans of raising the turn for a free show down play, but I am wondering if there was an opportunity to make that play in one of the hands in this video.

The hand is on the right hand table at 44 mins 30 secs.
Hero is dealt 9c 9h in HJ seat.

Pre flop
Hero open raises and only the big blind (appears loose and aggressive) calls.

Flop
Jc 6h 2d

Villain check raises heros continuation bet.

Turn
Jc 6h 2d 6d

Villain bets hero calls, DD what do you think of raising here with a view to folding to a three bet, and checking behind on the river?

I don\'t see much positive to raising, he is never folding a better hand, he may 3 bet a worse hand, the only reason would be pure value (but then I should bet river). I felt there was a lot more value in letting him bluff on what is a very dry board.
