Hero is UTG with 88.

Preflop: Hero raises, UTG+1 3-bets, all fold to Hero, Hero calls.

Reads: pretty standard live player, but his range here is a little bit wider than normal.

Flop (7 SB): T 9 4 (2 players) I have the 8
Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls

Turn (4.5 BB): Q (2 players)
Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls intending to fold the river UI

(Yes, villain is aggressive enough to barrel AK here)

He'll check anything worse than TP on the river? If so, nh.

What will you do if you river an 8 or J? I assume bet both, but what's your plan if he raises?

When you say barrel, I assume you mean the turn. If so you should prolly fold the river, I'd probably call though.

Hmm, I feel like I'd be inclined to checkraise this flop because of texture and because live, I'm not that scared of being blown off the hand if he raises the turn. If he 3-bets flop I'd call and call any non-A/K turn and fold the river.

Bet/fold a J.
Check/raise an 8 - you'll just have to trust my read on that. I'm very confident it's the correct line (and that's what happened - he payed with AQ).

I think that's a reasonable line as well.
