Pre Flop: (1.4 SB) Hero is UTG with K Spade K Heart
Hero raises, MP calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls

Flop: (8 SB) 6 Heart 3 Spade 7 Diamond (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, MP calls, SB calls, BB 3-bets, Hero caps!, MP calls, SB calls, BB calls

Turn: (12 BB) 8 Heart (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP calls, SB calls, BB calls

River: (16 BB) A Club (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks, MP bets, SB folds, BB raises, Hero ???

I don't think I should have capped the flop as a 45 or 2 pair type hand could easily be in the BB range for cold calling in the BB.

After it's checked to me on the turn I think I may have the best hand as maybe all the bb has is a pair and the rest could be on draws or a lower pair.

The river is pretty nasty as it goes bet then raise.

How would you play this hand?

I cap the flop, you only need more than 25% equity to cap the flop 4-ways.

As played, I might just value bet the river, but checking seems ok. Once you check, I think you should fold facing a bet and a raise.

Thanks for your input.

That's true, but so could 33, 66, or 77. However, A7, 57, 87, 88-QQ are other feasible holdings which you beat that could show up here. Make sure you get a note on what is in his Donk/3bet range.

Slide, what would you need to see from BB to ever not cap this flop in this situation? (The donk/3b...)

Something along the lines of villain never putting in action with anything but 2 pair+ post. And I don't mean a read from 3-4 hands where he's under valued his hand, but a strong read from many hands he's played this way. We also need to make sure he can't be semi-bluffing.
