Hey all

I hate these types of hands. In my experience a player that limps preflop then donks the flop has improved thier hand. Would people have called down to SD or released the hand sooner

3rd hand at the table so no notes or valid information yet. stats for players gatherd from previous sessions are

HJ 88/18/0.0/1.0 over 17 hands (vpip/pfr/3b/agg)
CO 71/14/0.0/0.6 over 7 hands

Poker Stars $0.25/$0.50 Limit Hold'em - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Pre Flop: (1.4 SB) Hero is BTN with J Heart J Diamond
1 fold, MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, MP calls, CO calls

Flop: (7.4 SB) Q Spade T Heart 4 Club (3 players)
MP bets, CO calls, Hero calls

Turn: (5.2 BB) 7 Diamond (3 players)
MP bets, CO calls, Hero calls

River: (8.2 BB) A Spade (3 players)
MP checks, CO checks, Hero checks

I posted the whole hand as not sure what to do in these situation unless I have notes or extensive stats on the player (given the player pool size this doesnt happen often). I am also not too sure what range to assign to the players as they limped/over limped. I suspect that the HJ limped frequently paired the queen on the board or has a SD. I also dont think betting the river would have pushed both villains of thier hands.

OTT it's extremely rare you're ahead of both... I'd give up there and make a note when they go to SD.

Against std Fish, the A is usually good enough to fold them both and would be worthy of a 5BB bet at NL (but LH you'll never fold a Q... he'd call thinking "What the heck!"), but personally I give more value to the note I can make when they SD.

Flop is much closer to a value raise than a fold, but I would just call. Putting MP on either a Q or a SD is just way too narrow minded, especially after only a couple hands. He could have any type of pair, draw, or even some air balls. You should also be well ahead of CO in this spot when he doesn't raise the flop or the turn.

I would play the hand the same. Folding either the flop or the turn seems pretty bad to me.
