Beginner Limit Hold'em Poker Forums

Hi everyone. So I've just finished watching danzasmacks the price is right series and learned a lot.

I hit the tables and these are a few hands that came up. If you could take a look at them and let me know what you think that would be great!

Villain is 51/18 He donk bets when the flush comes and now I'm also losing to T/7.

I called pf with 78 on the button because villain was in a lot of pots and was paying off big. I didn't want to isolate him with 8 high preflop so just called on the button and got the perfect flop.

Does he really have the better straight or flush here? Should I raise or just call?

The 2 players in the blinds were very tight and I had seen the BB fold his bb quite a bit so made a laggy raise with j7. I have a tight image from being card dead so went for it.

The flush comes on the river and he donk bets into me. I think it's possible he has a better jack than me but not likely otherwise I think he would bet into me on the turn or check raise me on the turn.

Does he have a flush here? Should I be raising with trip jacks on the river even after a donk bet when the heart comes?

I folded the river to 1 big bet with second pair no kicker.

Is this a good or bad fold? Villain is 29/8 and his turn agg factor is 43% so not overly aggressive.

I think he has a better jack or possibly JQ and hits 2 pair on the river. After he showed strength in raising me on the turn I felt like I was beat. Should I have check/called the river or am I usually beat here?

Should I check/call the river or check/fold? Or should I have even folded the turn after he raised me?

Possibly ace-jack or 66?

Should I be betting this river for value with my kings? There were 3 other players in the pot and villain could have had Ax. Would I just be spewing money to be called by an ace?

So should I bet for value or just check behind?

For the future, post these one at a time - it makes it much easier to respond.

#1 is a definite fold preflop. Just call on the river.
#2 just call the river. Not much value in a raise vs his betting range.
#3 vs a 29/8 you might actually be able to fold the turn, but I'd definitely fold the river.
#4 I'd bet for value. He can call with worse Kings, some 8's, some pocket pairs, and of course some Aces as well.

Ok I thought shouldnt fold was for higher stakes such as 2/4.

Is it still applicable to micro stakes?
