Villain is a regular running at 28/22 over a reasonable sample. I'm not sure if he caps his big hands preflop. How are we proceeding the turn?

That's kind of gross. I don't know what better hands he's folding on this turn. You think he's folding 88-33 here? Will he ever turn QT into a bluff?

As a side note, do you have any x/r range here?

If villain is capable of folding better, I'd feel more confident on betting this turn. I'm leaning towards checking just because I think we are usually only going to get called by better.

I tend to agree that villain probably isn't folding better to a turn bet (maybe if the turn is a J he might fold a hand like 55.)

Once we check the turn, is our plan to fold? Call the turn & fold a river brick? Call Down unimproved?

Yeah that was my point. I think if he's folding it's QTo or 44's.

Initially I was thinking x/f. But now that I think about it, we'd be getting 5.5 to 1 and I'd imagine all our King and Queen outs are good (those 6outs), as well as 9's to counterfeit 88-33, so we have 9 outs...maybe xc xf a brick river.

But like I said, if you check fold here, do you ever check raise?

I think this is a bit optimistic on our outs. He can certainly have A3s, A6o type hands, maybe even a hand like AJ delaying to the turn, so our outs are "dirty" at least some of the time. We also have the best hand some % of the time on the turn though.

Hmm, good point. Plus flush cards may not be clean. I suppose 9 was a little high.

I think it's best to check-fold here if your opponent is good at all. We're at the bottom of our range here (KJ, JTs, QJs, QTs are the only worse hands in our range). Just keep that in mind next time you have Ax, because he's only raising with Ax but may bet-call down with much worse.
