Hey all
I have just moved up. Instead of putting in another couple of hours tonight I am reviewing all hands and posting
BTN is 30/9/12.5/1.4 (VPIP/PFR/3B/AGG)
Poker Stars $0.25/$0.50 Limit Hold'em - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter
Pre Flop: (1.4 SB) Hero is CO with T
Q
2 folds, Hero raises, BTN 3-bets, 2 folds, Hero calls
Flop: (7.4 SB) 7
T
J
(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets, Hero raises, BTN 3-bets, Hero calls
Turn: (6.7 BB) 2
(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets, Hero calls
River: (8.7 BB) 8
(2 players)
Hero checks, BTN checks
Pre-flop is standard.
Flop -I did notice during the first 30 hands or so that this table was quite tight. in Hindsight when my flop X/R failed I think I should have given up.
Turn - The Turn card is a blank and doesnt change anything. given the PF and flop strength the villian has shown I should have know i was beat calling with 2nd pair.
River - Ugh definatly a fold
Opinions on this one?

I'm guessing you don't have that many hands on the btn (given his 10%pfr and 12.5%3b)? Either way, when you get 3! here he has a pretty tight range (depending on how much he 3!'s, but it's probably like 88+, A9s+, ATo+, KJo+, maybe QJo+) and I don't think you have enough value to xr since you're only ahead of two unimproved overs, and they have decent equity.
I'd just xc the flop, xc the turn, and probably xc the river but that might need to be a xf.

Agree with others, just check/call the flop, you don't have much value in a C/R. Its ok/good to have some stronger hands in your Ch/C range.
As played, you can't C/R/Fold the flop. Even if he has a hand like AA you have to see a turn card given the size of the pot and your equity in the hand.

I think you played it fine if your plan was to fold river
I'd c/c flop by default, looking to get someone thinly value-betting. You don't have that much value vs a tight 3-betting range, but without a # of hands it's hard to say if that opponent has a tight 3-betting range or not. Very odd to see 3-bet of 12.5 and PFR of 9, so I'm guessing your sample size isn't large enough to have normalized.
If I c/c flop, I'm calling down, but I'm not happy calling the river. I'd fold on this particular river if someone bet 3 streets, but I'd call down on most, hoping for thin value bets from AK, AQ, and 88/99 (obv not good on this river).
If you c/r flop and are 3-bet, you have enough equity/possibility of him barreling with KQ that I *might* call down, but I'd be pretty unhappy facing a river bet. Again, I'd fold to a bet on this river if the flop action went c/r/3b.
