It seems OK to me until the river when I would raise. He could easily be donking top pair or a pocket pair (lower than queens), when he will often call the raise. J9 is a possible hand he could have, but that's life.
Its good to take a note on opponents donking tendencies, as they can vary widely. Pairs and draws are often donked, but some players will donk complete air, or ace high.

I would fold the turn against this villain type without a better read on what his donking range is in this spot. If your calling this turn its because you think he has a lot of bluffs in his range, in which case you should be calling a blank river.
As played, I would probably raise & fold to a 3-bet on the river.

I agree with the sentiment. The nature of the board makes me think he is likely to have a lot of bluffs. There is a reasonable chance he wouldn't donk with an 8, leaving an 8 and a pocket pair and maybe ace high as value hands that beat us. Its all guess work of course, without a read on what villain donks.
