I peel here every time. You have a bd flush draw, and two bd straight draws. Plus a T-ball gives you a double gutter.

I semibluff this turn. I don't know about this particular villain but I'd expect to get peeled on that flop by most broadway/broadway holdings, especially any with a naked Spade. When the turn bricks like this, I think you can bet and hopefully get a naked K/QSpade to fold. Given how passive the stats are for this guy, if I get x/r'd I'd expect be be up against a deuce every time and probably not any other pair.

I agree with Andrew's line here, especially against shulin, who will peel his entire range and play the turn very straight forwardly .

There are a lot of times where he bricks off the turn, and just calls 2 extra streets with Ax. It a very player dependent line, but i use this line against him with success, because he will call down with worse, but won't bluff raise anything.

I c/r, then b/f any turn that wasn't an ace or a king.

So he does not (semi)bluff turns? If he really does the two things you mentioned (peel his entire range on flop and play turns straightforward) then I can see going for value immediately. However, I see normal regs cbetting turns so much with air, so that I counter those by calling down often (depending on how the board comes). If he does check back a lot though, you might be right!

The only semi bluffs I see here are big combo draws and draws plus 2 overs. Basically, the exact hands I'm not comfortable continuing against anyway.

He fires all 3 streets pretty regularly (91%, 86%, 79%) but is also very showdown bound and can be moved into call down mode pretty easily. In addition, his raise percentages are pretty low facing bets (20%, 7%, 2%).

I run across a lot of players that have similar betting stats at the lower stakes I'm playing at, and found that c/r the turn was getting too many folds, but c/r the flop was often getting me the same call downs with weaker non paired hands I was getting by betting 3 streets in position.

Maybe I'm working too hard/risking too much to squeeze that extra 1/2bb out of these types of players?

I agree, another insteresting thing about the hand is that the villain has less than 6 big bets behind and these types are always bad but a bit unpredictable and often will gamble with air. If we don't improve I would fold to more pressure, would perhaps call down with a J or Q. ( I probably should say I am unexperience in lim, I used to play a lot but haven't for a while.)
