Villian: 27/20/1.6 Seems solid, 3bets preflop lightly, Doesn't seem overly bluffy. I am not sure how he plays his flopped top pair hands. Not real sure about his BVB dynamics.

pretty much bet/folding the turn.
You`re getting 6 to 1, but need ~6.6 to 1 with your 6 outer so turn call is slightly -EV and add up the times when your river out is no good.

Don't forget to factor in the possibility that you are ahead.
How often would that be?
Close to a coinflip actually... when BB protect 50%. But thats just assumption.

Given that villain raises the turn, he`s range gets tighter and our equity dries up.
EDIT:
Holy moly. If villain protects his big blind with 20% (of which 10% he would probably 3!-bet) or more, it`s a coin-flip... but he`s turn raise does suggest quite big amount of strength though.
I play the same.
I check turn here very very often.

I do it somewhat often too, but I don't mind betting to induce against aggro players. Against this guy who seems like a normal TAG, I can see c/c, c/c or c/c, c/f, but the fact that he's 3betting PF light makes me think he might have some tricks in his bad, making betting the turn not bad.
I'd say 65% of the time I'd play the hand by checking turn, and 35% like you played it.

Any articles or posts you guys could point me to about when the best time it is to check the turn? This is a part of my game I feel I need to work on before moving up. Sorry for the thread jacking but this seems like a important topic.
Aside from Ahigh, what's our checking range here?
