Is this a peel?

Villian: solid winning multitabler. He seems to play preflop more aggressively than his stats indicate. 25/20/1.5. I think he is particularly aggressive in Iso situations. He knows that I am not super showdown bound.

Is this a flop peel? If not, how much stronger would my hand need to be?

How should I play the turn assuming I peeled and hit a 5?

Has he been three betting your open raises a lot in this session? If he has been then I might be tempted to check raise this flop. You have got a backdoor flush, backdoor straight and an overcard, and if villain thinks you don't go to showdown often then you can easily have the best hand too.

If the blinds are fairly tight then villain could be three betting you with hands like JT, J9, T9, QT etc, expecting you to play fit or fold on the flop, or take one off on the flop and fold the turn UI.

Even if you end up having to show this hand down UI and you loose, it might slow villain down a little, and he might start to think twice about three betting your open raises.

Having said this I don't play at 5/10 very often, only when I can get position on really huge fish that I recongnise from 2/4 and 3/6 games. So my thoughts here could cause you to spew.

Because he multitables, it strengthens his range and I'd just fold flop. You didn't give his 3bet %. The fact that he's a multitabler should make his 3betting range pretty standard generally, and the std 3bet range crushes you.

However, I feel it's really close. Peeling is defitely not too big a mistake on this board, this is kind of a dream board for you if he 3bets (except for the K). If his range is a little looser than normal I'd call flop and possibly turn depending on what fell, then decide on river.

Given a 10% 3betting range, pokerstove says this is a peel on the flop. On the other hand, any card above 6 on turn or board pairing card kills your equity a ton. So I guess a peel and fold turn UI is ok, the board is semidrawy and he won't be as inclined to double barrel bluff.

It seems like a sound plan to call the flop, fold turn UI and don't call a river bet if you make a pair of 5s.

This would be a great exercise to use pokerrazor........ hand #2 on my list when I actually learn how to use it.

I think folding this 100% of the time would be bad, but we're in pretty bad shape equity wise vs a ~11.5% 3-betting range. Folding is probably the best play w/o specific reads or meta-game stuff going on.

Generally speaking, its almost always correct to peel the flop in a 3 bet pot. You don't need much equity.
Using your reads, his range may be wide, again suggesting a peel.
