sometimes i would make two pair on the river or a set and they wouldnt be good.

I would be like "YES I GOT THERE FUFUFUFUFUFUUFUFU RAISE!" and then he would 3bet. and things would get very quiet in the Quik household for a moment.

Meh I translate 1 buyin as 20BB so your accomplishment was more impressive in my language

I thought a buyin was 100 big blinds, or 50 big bets. Obviously, this doesn't take into account differences in variance between LHE and NLHE.

You guys are saying that losing a buyin in NLHE is something like a 10-20 BB downswing in LHE? Any mathematical basis for this, or is this just mostly a 'feel' thing, as in 'I experience a 5 BI downswing in NLHE about as often as I experience a 50-100 BB downswing in LHE'?

I've actually come to a point where I have run so bad that it has completely fucked up my game. There is no doubt in my mind that I am a losing player right now.

Right now I fold way too much and play way too passively because it's hard for me to imagine I have the best hand. I keep wanting to check/fold nut flushes on paired board and such because I can't imagine that I would hit a draw if it will win me money. I almost never call the river anymore because I don't think anyone bluffs or value bets worse.

This is the result of being shit on non stop for 7 months.

I don't need any bullshit like "you're a winning player blah blah blah" because it's not true. It may have been true once, but I'm no longer a winner.

I can't believe I've let this happen but now I'm just fucked and have no idea what to do.

Move to PLO where these folds might be good. Alternatively take a break.
