I heard that your friend once had to call you from halfway across the country to explain how seconds earlier I had bluffed him out of his shoes for one bet on the river in a big ol' pot in which he whined "this is soooo exploitable" before laying down like a little bitch.

My question is, wasn't that awesome?

I think I was drunk when you called. Or sleeping. So yes.

I don't want you to give anything away (and I'm sure you don't either), but, if someone wanted to put some serious work into figuring out GTO HULHE lines for themselves, and/or learning how to think GTO, where would you recommend they start?

Also, why do we call it HUHU when the NL guys just call it HUNL (or just HU) and the PLO guys call it HUPLO (or just HU)?

Haha thanks for the bump!

I would say that I've learned to exploit bad players more effectively by deviating from what might be a less exploitable line and taking a more "creative" line.

I've also become much better at 6max LHE.

Yes this was HUHU coaching.

I was a pretty big winner at the time between 3/6 and 15/30 (I had just moved up to 15/30). I'm a pretty big believer that you get the best value from coaching when you're a winner at your current stakes.

I think DD kinda pushed me away when he thought that I had progressed to the point where I could start assimilating concepts at a high rate by myself. I do believe a good coach can recognize when his students don't need him anymore.

If you want a numerical representation, where 10 is my current level (no I don't think I'm a 10 compared to all other poker players now) I probably went from a 6 to about an 8.

I don't think there's much to give away. For GTO strategy, I'd probably start with TheBryce's videos. You could probably check out my video v. Fnupple too, although I kinda forget how much I talked about staying unexploitable in that match.

Our terminology is different because we're better.
