1) Absolutely, positively NO. The problem is a hand like that has reverse implied odds which make the nice immediate pot odds you are getting less attractive. When you do flop a decent pair of tens, you will generally only get action when you are outkicked, and you don\'t flop many monsters with T2o. I would call hands like 87o here that have straight potential but would never call with a one card hand like T2o, K3o, etc.

2) Way too weak to semi-coldcall preflop. Domination issues are again huge here and your position and relative position are both very poor. I fold the flop too if I somehow got there as the pot isn\'t large enough for your outs to backdoor draws and if the BB is in (you didn\'t specify) he could checkraise. But the preflop play is worse than a flop peel IMO.

3) If the blinds are loose, I coldcall any pocket pair here, if not, I still coldcall somewhere around 66-99 and 99 maybe is a 3 bet. Also would coldcall weak suited broadway like JTs, QJs, KJs but play cautiously with top pair on the flop.

Some situations about multi-way action pre-flop in 6 max.

1) You have T2o is SB. 3 limpers to you.
I surely call any two suited here. Do you call with T2o? If not what is the weakest offsuit card here?

In a 2/3 chip structure you can call liberally with almost any 2 offsuited cards. For example if you were playing 3/6 and the small blind is $2, I\'d call with T7o, T6o, T5o, and even T4o (but its likely close).. T3o and T2o is just a hair too loose for me, but I know other fantastic players will will play even 72o here if there are 3 limpers because the hero is getting 14:1 - a position where playing hands where reverse implied odds may be a issue becomes worthwhile.

of course this is a bit advanced, and I wouldn\'t recommend someone play this loose pre-flop if they don\'t play optimally post-flop.

Post edited by: *TT*, at: 2007/06/03 09:39

2) Kd6d in SB. CO(40/15) R, btn call.
Do you call? If you do, flop is Jh7d5h. Checked to CO who bet, button fold, you? Is the backdoor flush important to your decision?

3) UTG+1 raise, CO cold calls 2. Is there a hand (maybe like A5s or K9s) you will (be tempted) to over-coldcall here?

Thanks!
