"LIVE POKER" How long is the long run. I play all the right cards in all the right positions. Im aware of all players and I fold to aggression with marginal hands. I dont understand why im still loseing and the bad players seem to be winning. I think that there is something missing. Villians make very bad decions and are rewarded. Is this what poker is all about learning how to be a good loser. How long is the long run......... I think I need a poker break. I not getting the results I want. For the time I put into studying and playing poker. I guess this is me just venting. man the long run seems to be very long. and yes I have listend to Tolerence and Tommy A vids.

Just keep working at improving. Watch videos, post hands and participate in the forums, etc. Basically do everything you can to get better. The long run can be a long time when talking about live poker. Especially considering you are playing limit where I'm sure there a ton of multi-way pots, which increase variance. At least that is my limited experience with live limit. I play mostly NL.

i'd say the long run is at least one or two thousand hours (30k or 60k hands) of live play. what's important in the short run is to be able to impartially identify that you're +EV in the game. this could take the form of identifying mistakes your opponents make that you don't, or good plays that you make that your opponents don't, and so on. as zach says, post hands so we can get an idea of your thought process.

the rake also makes low limit live poker practically unbeatable so that's also something to keep in mind (3/6 and lower and probably 4/8 also)
