So I signed up with Cake Network through you guys so I can eventually use my RB for some coaching etc...

Just wanted to leave my thoughts after first day playing there...

things that suck...
a.) No pokertacker support whatsoever
b.) very low traffic. at the moment (sat. noon pst) there are 0 6-max tables going for .5/1 and 1/2, there are two half empty full ring tables at 1/2 though.
c.) tracker only updates once a month. this is probably my biggest gripe when combined with the PT issues. if they only updated once a month, but I could track my rake paid in PT it wouldn\'t even matter. also, how do I know they are paying me the appropriate rakeback w/ no ability to get those stats/know how much I have paid?
d.) taking notes is a bit inconvenient. you must select the players name from a drop down menu and the text box is very small, sux given that w/o PT these text boxes will be needed quite a bit
e.)from what I\'ve heard on the PT forum, members are allowed to change their names everyweek. This suggests that if PT ever does support the site, it will be most useful for tracking our own stats. ( someone mentioned on the PT site that Cake intentionally made the HH\'s non PT compatible...)
f.) Good luck if you are trying to play anything except for hold\'em or .1/.2 PLO
g.) does not even offer a .5/1 6-max game??? wtf?

things that are nice...
a.) I really like the software. runs smoothly... very comparable to pokerroom look wise, except you get to choose your own avatar.
b.) despite the very low traffic, the games appear to be very soft. at the three 1/2 tables that were running, there was only one multi-tabling tag except myself. there were a couple lagtards, and quite a bit of our favorite loose passive types.
c.) reasonable sign up bonus. doesn\'t seem like it will take too long to clear/unlimited shelf life
d.) the lack of PT compatibility will help me keep my commitment to only play 2 tables at a time. Should also help keep my focus as I will concentrate more on developing qualitative reads etc.
e.) 33% rakeback (assuming they pay up:cheer: )

mixed feelings...
--crazy rewards system. f\'ing confusing. what happened to the good ole days where you got FPP\'s, and traded them in for t-shirts/books etc. You earn FPP\'s, but then you earn gold chips, you collect gold cards and pieces of cake? needing to read a book in order to figure out a rewards system isn\'t much of a reward. hopefully they give these things away pretty liberally to make up for the damned confusion they cause.

anyway, hope this is helpful to any of you who were thinking about making the jump.

p.s. if you are a .5/1 or 1/2 player, give me a couple months to clear my bonus/move up before you join. we will be sitting at the same table every time we play...

I don't remember my first experience with cake, but I'm guessing it was damn good.
