Posing the question in reference to GC's recent undertaking of winning 200 buy ins at 50NL this month (specifically winning $10,000 in the micros in a single month)
I personally believe that if there's someone out there that could do it, GC would be it. However, there are a few obstacles besides the obvious (that's it's a very challenging goal)... we know GC doesn't play very many tables, though this will be mitigated by his playing Zoom instead. Still, to win that many buy-ins, I'm thinking the volume is going to have to be obscene. His first day, he did play 6k hands, so he can "grind". Can he keep that up?
31 days in August
6,000 hands per day (if he keeps the current pace)
20,000 blinds to be won.
Total hands played 186,000
.1075 blinds per hand required translates to
10.75bb/100 win-rate needed
Looking at the above metrics, there's no question that GC can do it. That win-rate is nothing for a player with his skill set at 50NL. I guess the question is if you think he'll put in the necessary volume to do it. Certainly it would get him some sort of bragging rights I'd think.... showing us all how it's done, etc.
But I remember when GC participated in the annual DC $100 (or in his case $1000) bankroll challenge - GC pulled the plug after two days because playing 100NL or 200NL was tilting in the sense that it was such a colossal waste of time.
Anyway, posting here to show my support. I can speak for myself in that GC is a poker hero of mine and I can only root and cheer.
Thoughts?

You should look at the series of prop bets DonkPredator took doing the same thing in PLO. He won 150BI in a month playing PLO200 on a prop bet. Also 100BI playing PLO400 in a month.
I think GC will be fine, and it'll just be a matter of work ethic. Not that it will be easy, and there is always the possibility that he runs terribly. I think he is up to it though.

You're right, he is counting RB, which IMO makes it that much more likely.
It was late last night when I caught the 2p2 thread, so I didn't see the part about moving up. The headline was $10k at the micros in a month, not entirely true if you're moving back up to 1000NL

lets do the math.
best i've done was making 1k woth of BI's on FTP at 50NL in 14 days.
but then i'm only playing around 20 - 25k hands a month. so on average, not even 1000 hands a day.
so, 12.5k hands in 14 days is about 8c per hand. therefore, 8c * 6000 (hands) * 30 (days) = $14400.
so, given GC is substantially better than i am, i'd argue that he should be making more money per hand, on average, than i was then. so in theory, he shouldnt have too many problems hitting that target.
infact, if he made less than $14000, in a month at 50NL, i'd be slightly disappointed.

Don't really see how he won't achieve this.
He will surely play more than 6k hands per day, probable 200-250k during the month (likely more than less).
Rake is about 35$/1k hands. His expected rb is 45%.
Calculation 1:
200k hands
3150 rb
6850 profit -> abt 7bb/100
Calculation 2:
250k hands
~4k rb
6k profit -> abt 4,8bb/100
I believe expected grindcore wr is surely about 10bb.
Izi 10k, sick life!

Might be hard to maintain this a Zoom, since a lot of the time, you are playing pots readless against players you have less than 10 hands with.
It's hard to read souls when you aren't even sure if villain has a soul yet.
