like what else were you thinking of?
who knows. Maybe only deposits will be returned, maybe they'll take 'processing fees' out of it, stuff like that. We'll have to wait and see, but the licensed site thing I don't think is a big worry. If online poker becomes legal again, we'll probably have to play on sites with a license anyway.

The DOJ logos and blurb about domain seizure has been removed from both PS.com and FT.com websites. Interesting development, imo.
Nice! I'm glad everyone's playing nice (for the moment)

I didn't really get the point. PS.com sems to be some sort of domain site for sale and ft.com is financial times. I conclude they were abbreviations for fulltiltpoker.com and pokerstars.com? Then again, they have always worked fine for me? Maybe in order to understand the logic, we are talking about something the American have been seing?
If so, very nice improvement. Makes a hell of a difference

Can't tell if trolling or not. . .
Assuming you're being serious: Yes, fulltiltpoker.com was seized by the US Department of Justice and had a big 'you have been seized' front page for the past year and a half. Same with pokerstars.com. Now they are different - updated with FAQ's and additional information. This is a good sign that things are moving forward between FullTilt, Pokerstars, and the DOJ.

I see. I thought the country redirection is a server side thing (Pokerstars own server redirecting to different pages based on what country the IP of a visitor is). Is this correct and they did it voluntarily for US, or did the DoJ somehow technically force this country redirection?

I honestly couldn't tell you how they technically did it, but I'm sure some other more informed people could chime in and help.

AFAIK this was a DNS takeover - basically the US redirects all traffic that flows through the at the root domain level. Basically the US can force any property that uses a US TLD (.com, .net, I'm sure there are others) to point its records at a different server - this is what they've done with many of the domain names they've seized.

Joking I hope
ROW accounts (Rest of World, i.e., non-US--or if you happen to live in a free country...but I digress...) will be paid 100% by Pokerstars. They plan on re-launching Full Tilt on Nov. 6th with all ROW accounts credited in full. They even said you might be able to transfer funds directly from Full Tilt to Pokerstars in the Full Tilt client.
