You're just mad that the announcement didn't mention speakers.
DiamondFlush actually did mention speakers in a roundabout way. Non-US players should be compensated for their points. Not sure if US players will receive similar compensation.

does anyone think that there will be a new flow of fish in ftp?

The article said "I was told by PokerStars sources that the company plans to have fair resolution for [FTP points]" for non-US people, but I think that could be conversion to Stars points rather than a payout.
I bet those Bose speakers weren't even that good...
I got a txt last night, very late, that basically said, "put the champagne on ice buddy" from (obv) a very credible source, I could barely sleep.
Money fell from the sky today.
I'll be damned. Looks like no timeline for DOJ payments?
The deal is not official yet. It will not be signed for another seven days.
DOJ will not make any move until they actually receive money from PokerStars, we are a bit away from announcement of the claims process.
"The process of reimbursing Full Tilt US players will be addressed by the US Government." Only bad news about this.
i hope the check doesn't say "U.S. Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture Money Laundering Service" on it or i'm gonna have some splainin' to do!
other than that, looks solid.
AWESOME
That's the best news I've heard in months. We will hopefully get soon our $$$ back.
I just hope TurboTax adjusts its software for this.

Tax issues should only come into play with those with large sums I would think?
I have a totally random (and probably dumb) question. Unlike the stars case where they made us cash out, here I have no clue how much money I have/had on FTP. Can I assume that before I fill out some rando form to get compensation ("uhh, I totally had 300k on FTP"), I'll be able to login and get some sense of what I do have? If not, I'm happy to say that my compensation should be 75k or so based on lost opportunity and such.

Thinly-veiled brag.

I highly doubt they'll let us log in to the software. I'm guessing they'll ask for records from FTP (because clearly they will have those stored in the proper place and be able to produce said records quickly lol) and then disseminate based on those records. But that's just speculation and it's probably not worth pondering at the moment. Might as well wait 7+ days to see if a specific plan is laid out.

ha, it's probably just a matter of whether I can buy 5 extra baby toys or 10.
